The Future of EP Practice Podcast
Description

This podcast will explore the future of SVT care, focusing on earlier diagnosis, improved referral pathways, and interdisciplinary collaboration between emergency medicine, cardiology, and electrophysiology. Expert faculty will discuss evolving treatment strategies before and after ablation, opportunities to improve care coordination, and a five-year vision for advancing more efficient, personalized, and patient-centered SVT management.

Learning Objectives
  1. Describe the evolving role of wearable devices and patient-generated ECG recordings in the early diagnosis of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), including their potential to improve diagnostic accuracy and facilitate timely referral to electrophysiology specialists.
  2. Evaluate strategies for optimizing SVT care pathways, including emergency department-to-electrophysiology referrals, shared decision-making, and individualized treatment planning based on symptom burden, recurrence, and patient preferences.
  3. Assess the role of intranasal etripamil in the management of paroxysmal SVT, including its clinical efficacy, safety profile, and potential to support patient-directed treatment and reduce emergency department utilization.
