Measuring the Pulse of Women's Health Tech: Where Are The Cardiovascular Solutions?
Session Description
Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women. Women continue to be undertreated for cardiovascular problems compared to men, are less likely to receive bystander CPR, and are more likely to die after having a heart attack. Meanwhile, women also experience unique life events that can impact their risk, including pregnancy and menopause. The addressable market and the unmet need for cardiovascular health promotion in women is great, and yet the majority of women’s digital health funding is concentrated in maternal and reproductive health.
What are the cultural and structural barriers for developing cardiovascular digital health solutions for women? How might femtech companies increase public awareness of cardiovascular disease risk? What is the role of female representation among researchers, inventors, investors, and founders? Join incredible women leaders in tech to candidly discuss this pivotal time in women’s health innovation.
